INSHORE, OFFSHORE... WINTER, SPRING, SUMMER AND FALL... THERE'S ALWAYS SOMETHING BITING!
We catch shark, sailfish, marlin, dolphin (mahi-mahi), wahoo, kingfish, mackerel, barracuda, tuna, bonito, tilefish, cobia, amberjack, snapper, grouper and more! Whether you are here on vacation or business, or are a local resident looking to get out on the water, deep sea fishing off the coast of South Florida is one of the best and most unique activities that our area has to offer. Time spent on the Atlantic Ocean is always interesting, and in between catching game fish you might see porpoises, sea turtles and flying fish!

THE FISHING
SOME OF OUR FISHING TECHNIQUES: Trolling We usually run six lines, four in the riggers and two flat, some short and some long, some deep and some on top, with a combination of dead bait, artificials and teasers. We troll the reef or head offshore and watch the water for a color change and current and wind rips. We also look for diving and feeding birds, floating debris and lines of seaweed. Fish that typically respond to trolling include dolphin, wahoo, kingfish, mackerel, barracuda, tuna, bonito and sailfish. Power Drifting We like to power drift, bumping the engine in and out of gear, when we have live bait and want to keep a little tension on our line and gently move in and out of different water depths. We usually use this method when looking for sailfish. We may also use this method when searching for a shark and we’ll put baits out on the top and bottom. Wreck and Bottom Fishing There are many wrecks and artificial reefs all along the coast of South Florida. Depending on the depth of the structure and the conditions on any specific day we will either anchor by these wrecks or drift across them and look for snapper, grouper, amberjack, tilefish and shark. Even when bottom fishing we like to keep a few baits out on top as these structures attract many different species that swim throughout the water column. Anchoring When the conditions are right, anchoring is a very peaceful and productive method of fishing. We'll put out live bait on top, attracting kingfish, mackerel, bonito, sailfish and barracuda. On the bottom we’ll use live and dead bait and jigs and fish for snapper, grouper, jacks and sharks. Kite Fishing One of the most attractive and natural ways to present a live bait is to suspend it on top of the water from a fishing kite. This keeps the hook and line up and out of the water and the only thing that a predator will see is the bait splashing on the surface. We fly the kite when power drifting or at anchor and usually use this method when looking to attract sailfish.
